The main goal of this Project was to build the rain water system in the city of Zelenodolsk to eliminate detention of rainwater in lower areas that caused the wetting.
The project envisaged the construction of a flumed rainwater drainage network over the yard area of the houses 24-30 in Energetychna Street and a closed network in Rybalko street to join the existing network. Due to the specific terrain, the important task for us was to take into account that specifics when building the flumed network. Thus we embedded the flumes and pipelines at an optimal depth, with due regard to minimum slopes.
The rai water was drained by a rain water drainage line – open concrete flumes with width of 300 mm. These drainage flumes were installed in a trench on the underlying layer of concrete. In the where the storm grates are installed, the flumes were enforced by concrete.
The length of the designed route is 480 m, including the linear drainage of 337.4 m. About 250 meters of a corrugated polypropylene pipe of different diameters was laid. Also, 18 wells for various purposes were built and equipped. Upon completion of the work, we were required to test the reliability and tightness the laid pipeline, as well as to restore the damaged outer cover and sites. The result of the test is 100% tightness of the new utility line.
